Dr. Greg Goins is the Director of the Ed Leadership Program at Georgetown College (KY) and serves as a Professor in the Department of Education. Prior to working in higher education, he spent 15 years as a school district superintendent in Illinois and has a wealth of K-12 experience as a former teacher, coach, athletic director, principal and elected school board member.
With an extensive background in school leadership, Dr. Goins is a popular speaker and presenter who delivers a passionate message about the importance of creating better schools for kids. He has given the keynote address at the Illinois Education & Technology Conference and has been selected as a Spotlight Speaker for the Illinois Computing Educators Conference and the Joint Annual Education Conference in Chicago.
As a Digital Leader, Dr. Goins is the host of the popular Reimagine Schools Podcast that features many of the nation’s top school leaders and innovators in education. He previously hosted The Goin’ Digital Show on YouTube and has been featured on the Illinois Channel as one of the state’s leading advocates for educational technology.
As an Educational Consultant, Dr. Goins has worked with numerous school districts on building social media plans, implementing 1:1 and Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) strategies, flexible seating options, EdCamp planning and innovative solutions for “reimagined” schools.
